The West Holmes Girls Varsity Golf Team opened invitational play with an impressive runner-up finish at the Minerva Great Trail Invitational on July 30, 2026, placing 2nd out of 11 teams. The Knights were led by three golfers who earned Top 10 individual finishes. Mattie Shankel shot an 86 to finish 4th, while Aubrey Burchfield and Sophie Robb each carded 94, placing 7th and 8th, respectively. Payton Hudson finished with a 114, and Zoe Walter rounded out the team scoring with a 128. The strong team effort highlighted a successful start to the invitational season.
