The West Holmes Lady Knights came away with a hard-fought victory over Clearfork today, edging the Colts by just three strokes, 166-169. The Knights relied heavily on their short game, with most of the girls choosing not to use their drivers off the tee. Their ability to stay focused and execute around the greens proved to be the difference in the close match. Sophie Robb led the Knights with an outstanding 35, recording four pars and two birdies. Mattie Shankel followed with a 42, while Aubrey Burchfield shot a 44. Payton Hudson finished with a 45, and Zoe Walter rounded out the team with a 56. The Lady Knights will be back on the course this Friday at Oak Tree Golf Club for the Lexington Invitational.
