The Lady Knights fell 2-1 to Wooster. The Knights struck first when Codi Murphy won the ball off a Wooster goal kick, took a touch to set herself up, and fired a 40-yard rocket into the top of the net. Less than five minutes later, the Generals answered after a battle in the box ended with Wooster poking the ball into the net, tying the game 1-1 heading into halftime. Wooster took the lead just four minutes into the second half on a give-and-go that resulted in a finish at the near post. The rest of the game was a hard-fought defensive battle for the Knights, who created opportunities but just couldn’t find the final pass or touch to pull even. Landrie Croskey had 9 saves in net. The Knights will look to bounce back on Saturday when they travel to John Glenn for a 2 p.m. kickoff.
