The Knights were led offensively by Charli Murphy, who scored both goals.
Ashland opened the scoring on a through ball that was finished into the far corner to take a 1-0 lead.
The Knights answered when Breslyn Brown found Murphy in the center of the field. Murphy turned, beat three defenders and fired a shot toward goal. The Ashland goalkeeper was able to get a hand on it, but the ball still found the back of the net to tie the game.
A few minutes later, Murphy picked up the ball in the defensive half and outran the Ashland defense before placing the ball into the back of the net, giving the Knights a 2-1 lead heading into halftime.
In the second half, Ashland tied the game when a midfielder picked up the ball outside the box and fired a shot into the near post, making it 2-2.
The Knights put together a strong defensive performance led by Murphy, Breslyn Brown, Ava Reiheld, Melina Faunce and Kylie Turpen.
Landrie Croskey had an outstanding night in goal, finishing with 17 saves.
The Lady Knights return to action on Tuesday, October 6, when they host Dover. Kickoff is set for 6 p.m.
