John Glenn opened the scoring just four minutes into the game when a corner kick deflected off a West Holmes defender and into the net. The rest of the first half was a back-and-forth battle, with the Knights trailing 1-0 at halftime.
The back-and-forth play continued into the second half until Dancia Fritz battled to win the ball from a defender and found Charli Murphy. Murphy beat a defender before slotting the ball into the back of the net to tie the game 1-1.
Less than a minute later, Codi Murphy found Charli again. Charli poked the ball past the first defender, beat a second defender and calmly placed the ball into the back of the net to give the Knights a 2-1 lead.
West Holmes held off John Glenn for the remainder of the game to complete the comeback and secure the 2-1 win.
Landrie Croskey recorded three saves in the game.
With her two goals, Charli Murphy became the all-time leading scorer in West Holmes history with 137 career goals.
The Knights return home on Tuesday, September 15, against Galion. Kickoff is set for 6 p.m.
