For the second straight year and fifth time since 2019, the West Holmes High School wrestling team will be competing in the Ohio High School Wrestling Coaches Association DII State Team Duals Championship Tournament after two thrilling come-from-behind dual meet wins at the OHSWCA DII Regional Qualifier at Claymont High School.
The Knights secured the regional championship title with a 37-30 win over Carrollton, after trailing the Warriors 30-13. In the semifinal dual against Claymont, West Holmes trailed the host Mustang’s 38-17, but charged back with four straight wins to beat Claymont 39-38.
The wrestling team will compete in the state duals tournament on Saturday, February 14th at 2 PM at Bishop Watterson High School. Tickets for this event are $15.
