The Knights Track & Field Program will be competing in three additional events at the OHSAA D3 State Championships in Columbus next weekend after competition in Day 2 at the Muskingum University Region 8 Championships at New Concord on Saturday. Mallory Marmet started the day off with an outstanding third place podium finish in the Discus tossing the platter 119’10” and earning her first State qualification after narrowly missing advancing in the Shot Put on Thursday. Maddax Graham finished third and on the podium in the Shot Put tossing the steel ball 51’8.50″ to add the Shot to his Runner-up Discus throw from Thursday. Also advancing to State next week will be Katherine Kaster, who finished 6th and on the podium in the 1600 m run and her time of 5:13.99 was good enough to secure one of three at-large bids from all-three D3 Regions combined. Running well but not advancing to State in the 800 meter run, were Breslyn Brown,10th in a new season best of 2:22.98 and Iriel Mena, 11th in 2:23.63. West Holmes will be represented at the 2026 OHSAA D3 State Championships at Jesse Owens Memorial Stadium in Columbus next weekend on Friday June 5th and Saturday June 6th by the 4X800 relay of Katherine, Iriel, Sophie Arnold and Breslyn along with Maddax in the Shot Put and Discus, Mallory in the Discus and Katherine in the 1600 m run.
