The West Holmes Knight Girls and Boys had another good showing at the 2026 Triway Invitational Friday evening dodging the thunderstorms and most of the rain that moved through the area. For the Knight Boys Maddax Graham took another double victory winning the Shot Put with a new Personal Best of 53’5” and another outstanding night in the Discus tossing the platter 156’ 7” to remain undefeated on the season in his specialty. Rhett Chaney added a 2nd place in the Long Jump jumping 20’8” twice and missing the victory by just a few inches. Rhett also led off the WH 4x200m Relay that included the sophomore, classmate Marshall Yoder, junior Cody Gallion and junior Mac Craft that garnered 2nd in a season best 1:33.27. Also scoring were Marshall in the 300 hurdles finishing 6th in a new Personal Best of 42.44, Mac finishing tied for 7th in the 200 meters. The 4×100 Relay of Brayden Parsons, Brady Carter, Cody and Mac had a season best of 47.05 to finish 7th while the foursome of Cole Troyer, Owen Mallasch, Jimmy Wengerd and Parker Garver took 6th in the 4×800. The tandem of Marshall, Cole, Jimmy and Parker garnered 8th in the 4×400. The Boys scored 46.5 points to finish 8th of 11 teams. The Knight Girls scored 52 points to finish 6th of 11 teams in a very competitive field. Baldwin Wallace bound Senior Katherine Kaster had one of the best distance doubles in WH history finishing 2nd in the 1600 in 5:19.67 and 2nd in the 3200 in 11:51.19. She also anchored the 4×400 to 7th place joining junior Breslyn Brown, senior Alizah Sigler and sophomore Chelsie Cooper in 4:32.90. Sophomore Iriel Mena ran only her second race in 4 weeks finishing 2nd in the 800 meters in 2:26.60 as Breslyn garnered 5th in a new best of 2:28.53. Alizah had an outstanding race in the 400 meters taking 6th in 1:06.31. Junior Mallory Marmet had another throws double finishing 3rd with an outdoor best of 35’ 5” in the Shot and another solid night in the Discus at 107’10”. The 4×800 Relay of Sophie Arnold, Ellie Babitt, Chelsie and Serenity McClintock finished 6th. 9th grader Sophie had a massive PR in the 3200m run finishing 4th in 12:30.98.
