The West Holmes Track & Field teams traveled to compete at the Fairless Twilight Invitational on Friday May 8 and both teams had numerous outstanding performances and season or personal bests. The Knight boys finished 5th of 11 scoring teams with 71.5 points while the Knight girls finished 6th with 59 team points. Mallory Marmet was a double winner for the Knights winning the Shot Put with a toss of 35’2.50” and Discus with a throw of 120’8”. For the Boys Rhett Chaney was part of two victories winning the Long Jump at 20’4.25” and leading off the winning 4×200 relay that included Rhett, Garrett Obrst, Marshall Yoder and Mac Craft in a season best of 1:32.84. Second place finishes were earned by Maddax Graham in the Shot Put at 50’9” and Discus with a great throw of 166’5”. Iriel Mena was runner-up in the 1600 meters in 5:31.21 and the girls 4×800 relay was second in 10:03.64. The team included Iriel, Sophie Arnold, Breslyn Brown and Katherine Kaster. Katherine was 2nd in the 3200 m run in 11:45.69 while Mac was 3rd in the 200 meter dash in 23.50. The Boys 4×100 relay of Rhett, Garrett, Brayden Parsons and Mac finished third in 45.84. The teams will compete in the 2026 OCC Championships next Friday May 15 at Ashland University starting at 3:00 pm.
