The Knights Track & Field teams traveled to Lexington for a weeknight OCC dual meet with the host Minutemen and Lady Lex and were defeated in both conference outings, despite some personal bests and improved times. The Knight Girls fell 105 to 32 while the WH Boys lost 112 to 24. Mallory Marmet led the Knight Girls with double victories in her specialties the Shot Put and Discus while Iriel Mena won the 800 meters and Mckaylin Getchy earned 1st in the High Jump. The 4X400 meter relay of Katherine Kaster, Iriel, Alizah Sigler and Breslyn Brown won their race in a season best 4:25.68. Alizah finished 2nd in the 400 meter dash, Katherine was 2nd in the 800 meter run while Lilli Brown finished 3rd in the High Jump. For the West Holmes Boys, Maddax Graham earned wins in his throwing events, winning the Discus at 152’9″ and the Shot Put at 46’10”. Marshall Yoder finished 2nd in the 300 meter hurdles while the 4X200 of Rhett Chaney, Garrett Obrst, Marshall and Mac Craft were victorious. Rhett won his specialty, the Long Jump at 20’8″. Mac was 3rd in the 200 meter dash and Noah Grassbaugh finished 3rd in the High Jump. The 4X400 relay of Parker Garver, Cole Troyer, Jimmy Wengerd and Marshall ran a season best of 3:44.27 but fell by 6 hundrends of a second to the Minutemen. The Knights travel to Fairless on Friday.
