The Knights Traveled to Cambridge on December 29th to battle at one of the toughest tournaments in the state. The Knights went on to take 5th out of 36 teams. This was the first time the team had placed in the top 5 at that tournament in 14 years! Weston Rogers, Greyson Hart, Darek Vaughn, Josie Hoover, Logan Johnson, Briggs Patterson, Jaycee Jackson, Julian Morehouse, Tyler Steinbauer, and Ryker Stokovich all battled hard and represented the Knights proudly but came up short of their goals. Mason Dye, Rowand Mathie, Rorick Taggart, Gavin Hoover, and Jake Lennington all went 2 – 2 on the day, being one match away from placing. Jett Justice went 3 – 2 to place in the top 10 and Grantham Lovell went 4 – 1 to place in the top 8. Medaling for the knights were Carter Kick and Clint Burgett who each went 3 – 3 to take home 6th place. Jackson Vaughn went 4 – 2 and Bryson Snyder went 3 – 2 to take 4th place And taking 2nd place for the Knights was Kolson Wagers who went 3 – 1 on the day! The Knight of the tournament honors go to Jett Justice for his improvement throughout the season so far, his mental toughness, his coachability, and his willingness to learn from his mistakes.
